We have seen in the previous post about this company: “Kerasan sanitary ware crosses all styles of bathroom furniture. Toilet seats of all shapes. (part 1)” how throughout its long history, which began in the ’60s, it has produced its sanitary ware in all the shapes and styles that have crossed the history of bathroom furniture. We have seen: THEMA, RITMO, RETRO’, NORA, BRIO e BELLINI. All these ceramic series were presented with wooden toilet seats covered with white polyester. Today we are going to look at the most recent production of this creative company and we will see that all these sanitary ware series are presented with wraparound thermoset toilet seats.
GODIA series by Kerasan
It is a series of sanitary ware that mounts the toilet seat with the typical D shape. Compared to other series of Kerasan, perhaps it has less creativity, but in the period in which it was presented it was the market that demanded simplicity and purity of form. It was clearly presented in both suspended and floor-standing versions. And as they said before, its toilet seats were made of plastic material (thermosetting) with the lid, following the trend of the moment, wrapping around (in practice, once the toilet seat is closed, the upper part “wraps around” the lower part called the donut, keeping it hidden). The Godia toilet seat like the Original is available in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
FLO series by Kerasan
We will soon make a post on this type of floor-standing sanitary ware with a soft, round shape (flush with the wall) that has been so successful on the market. So much so that many ceramic companies have proposed a version: SFERA Catalano, LINK Flaminia, VIGNONI Simas, FAST Pozzi Ginori, 4ALL Globo. With Flo, Kerasan has given life to its interpretation of this shape and created a great product. The thermosetting toilet seat cover with wrap-around lid like the Originale can be found in the store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
PELIKAN series by Kerasan
If anyone had any doubts about the company’s creativity, this series designed for the company by designer Maurizio Duranti immediately dispels them. In its catalogue, Kerasan describes it as follows: “stylistic feature: the unmistakable elliptical line that in its aerodynamics seems to mimic the beak of the pelican. Thus the design, inviting touch and vision, combines functionality and aesthetics”. We see it as the square version of the round PIANO DESIGN by Dolomite. Both are great design series. EGO series by Kerasan
The company’s liking for rectangular shapes reaches its highest expression here. The upper surface of the vase is perfectly rectangular, which may remind one of other competitor’s ceramic series, but it is in the body that the novelty lies. The idea comes from designer Simone Anzellini: Ego can be defined as a rectangle without corners. The company describes it as a ‘rounded square’.
