We started looking at these strange toilet seats in the previous post: ”Sanitary ware with (artistically) shaped toilet seat covers. The Sintesibagno catalogue will find them all for you.(part 1)” where we saw: series ANTALIA by Dolomite, series RETRO’ by Kerasan, series OLD TIME / SOVEREIGN by Vitruvit and series EFI by Ceramica Flaminia. In the post: ”Sanitary ware with shaped (carved) toilet seat covers. See them in the Sintesibagno toilet seat catalogue (part 2)” we saw ELLADE by Hidra, CADORE by Gsi Facis and series SINTESIS by Simas.
Serie Antica Vincenti ceramica
In the post: ”Ceramica Vincenti. A historic company in the Civita Castellana district. We are looking for toilet seat covers for these sanitary wares.” we discovered that Vincenti ceramics was founded almost a century ago in the ceramic district of Civita Castellana. It produced several successful ceramic series, which were also achieved thanks to the quality of its ceramics.
The Antica series has always represented the Vincenti style. A style also in the name antiqued classic, curves and protrusions proportioned and calibrated so well that it is still a very up-to-date design. Its direct competitors in terms of stylistic positioning are certainly: CALLA by Ideal Standard and BELLA EPOQUE by Cesame. I
f the sanitary wares and their toilet seats that we have seen in these posts were shaped and machined in their outer perimeter, here we are faced with an almost unique peculiarity. Both the toilet bowl and the toilet seat cover in the central inner part have slight indentations that create a figure-of-eight shape. The opposite as we have seen in the previous post of Antalia by Dolomite. Its original toilet seat can be found in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik here ]
Valentine series old type Ceramica Flaminia
We discovered Ceramica Flaminia and its most recent success in the post: ”The FLAMINIA design series. Not just WCs and bidets, but LINK, SPIN, TERRA…. and their original toilet seats.” where we talked about sanitary ware series of the calibre of: LINK, SPIN and TERRA. But this ceramic manufacturer from Civita Castellana had previously been successful in the market and had achieved this with the ceramic series we saw in the post: ”Flaminia sanitary ware before the revolution WORK in progress. Discontinued models. Are toilet seats still available?” METRO, WEB e VALENTINE.
It is precisely this last series that is the restyling of Valentine now called the old type. A very unusual sanitary ware. In the back was a raised top that led to the toilet seat (pictured here) being shaped in a surprising way. In the back part, it was C-carved in order to attach it to the toilet bowl. Among other things, it also required a wheelbase of no less than 29 cm. His toilet seat is still available in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik here ]
Zagara series Ceramica Dolomite
Ceramica Dolomite has for several decades been a company capable of anticipating the tastes of the general public in the bathroom furniture market and regularly conquering the sales market. We have dedicated several posts to it because its products have in all decades (’60s, ’70s, ’80s, ’90s and 2000s) regularly conquered the market and the customers’ taste in an incredible way. In previous posts we have already seen: CLODIA (“Sanitary ware from the 80s and 90s. Finding the toilet seat cover”), LAGO (“Large sanitary ware (old models) and their unobtainable toilet seat covers”), RIO and FLEO (“The old Dolomite ceramic series”), EBLA (“Rectangular sanitary ware shapes. Why do all toilet seat covers for this toilet look the same?”), QT70 (“Sanitary ware old models out of production. Where can I find the toilet seat cover?”), PERLA and SWEET LIFE (”Narrow WCs and bidets. Measurements less than 35 cm in width. What are the toilet seat covers for these sanitary wares?“), ZELIG (”Round sanitary ware as a circle + flat element”), ANTALIA (”Classic English-style retro sanitary ware and their toilet seats”), EPOCA (”Sanitary ware with raised top. WC covers with 45° fixing hinges (part 1)”), CHARLOTTE, ALPINA, ZAGARA (“Dolomite sanitary ware old models. Let’s find the toilet seat cover (part 2)“),DAHLIA, NOVELLA and NOVELLA MINI, PIANO DESIGN and GARDA (“Dolomite sanitary ware from the ’90s. Small formal revolutions that conquered the market (part 3)”)
A sanitary ware and its cover both have special and unique features. In this case the toilet seat is carved on the front and embellished with a rear bar that makes it almost a ‘precious’ object (this is why the toilet seat is called 3 pieces) The three-piece Zagara toilet seat can be found in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik here ]
