Today we are taking a look at sanitary ware series that have certainly not gone unnoticed for their style and their shapes that we can consider peculiar. We will focus on sanitary wares that come with incredibly distinctive toilet seats.
K-ONE series Azzurra Ceramiche
One of the queens of the ceramic district of Civita Castellana: Azzurra Ceramiche.
With this sanitary ware series called K-one, the company’s designers have created a sanitary ware that certainly did not go unnoticed. Its changes in height from the front to the back outline a light and strongly geometric shape.
To further enhance the shape, a very special toilet seat cover. The lid is carved from a central part. When opened, only the central rectangle will rise.

IO series Ceramica Flaminia
This series of Flaminia ceramics recently had a restyling and was called IO 2.0. For us, the previous version was much more special and unique.
To understand the shape of Flaminia’s IO sanitary ware, you need to look at the picture opposite. A parallelepiped in the back supports a rounded outline in its development. The upper surface is curved with a rear elevation that outlines an arch. Incredible!
What did the toilet seat cover look like? A normal toilet seat or something strange and unusual? The toilet seat is a curved toilet seat and since the anchorage space, it has to cling to the raised ceramic surface, is very narrow it has a centre distance of only 8 cm.
On the old version of the IO toilet seat we would like to point out that the version now available is with fixing of the pins that mount on the ceramic made for a through-hole. The very first versions had a closed hole fixing. So before ordering the toilet seat please check that the holes are open for the use of the lozenge fixing provided.

OLYMPIC series Vitruvit
After looking at two wall-hung sanitary ware series, we look at a floor-standing series: OLYMPIC.
The company that came up with it is a ceramic company that often surprises with its special shapes, here you can discover some of them (Clik HERE) and it is called: VITRUVIT.
If you look at the photo opposite you will notice the special feature of this sanitary ware: we see that its shape is marked by a curved side and a straight side. Can a normal toilet seat be mounted on such a sanitary ware? It goes without saying. On top of that, it is also a very large toilet bowl which also requires a very large toilet seat (we are at almost 50 cm).
