We started talking about these sanitary fittings in the post: ”Legendary sanitaryware. They create shapes, styles and colours then sought after by all. We find the right toilet seat in these iconic toilets.(part 1)” where we started to see: Series ALA Ideal Standard – the suspended series, Series SQUARE Pozzi Ginori – the colour champagne, Series LINDA Ideal Standard – the elongated oval shape, Series DECO’ Cesame – the hexagonal shape, Series FROZEN Simas – the rectangular shape and Ideal Standard and sanitaryware colours: the whispers (pink, light blue, green, grey), blueberry and fern. As in the previous post: “We will dwell on the sanitary ware that has broken new ground, a new conceptual thought from an architectural point of view, perhaps over time the competition has even improved and made the initial idea more appealing, but today we want to reward the pioneers!”
Series CLODIA Dolomite – the top step/stairs
We were hesitant whether to indicate this Dolomite sanitaryware or the Cesame series SINTESI as the pioneer of this feature in the upper planter. In the end, we chose Clodia only because it remained in the company’s catalogue the longest (it was produced until 2015). We took a good look at this type of sanitary ware and their toilet seats in the post: ”Toilet seat with moulded bumper for toilet bowls with inclined plane” where we have said that: never before have toilet seats had to be as precise in shape as in this situation. The inclined bumpers of these toilet seats must be positioned with the utmost precision, so that the step goes exactly where it is needed and gives stability and durability to the toilet seat. Some customers are well aware that if the toilet seat is not precise it will always remain unstable and break in a short time. In the store we have also selected mainly original toilet seats for these sanitary ware, if no longer available we have made the version like the original and in the last case the dedicated version. The Clodia toilet seat cover like the old original can be found in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
Series ITALICA Pozzi Ginori – the big size
If you are wondering why the standard toilet seats that can be found in DIY and/or shopping centres are so small, perhaps this toilet seat was installed in your bathroom: Italica. If in fact the normal length measurement of a toilet seat is 45/46 cm, here we find ourselves at 50 cm and more. After Italica came many other extra-large sanitary fittings, some of which we have mentioned in the post: ”Replacing a large toilet seat”: GRAN SASSO by Hatria (49/50 cm), NORDICA by Vavid (49/50cm), LAGO Dolomite (49/50 cm), SYNUA Axa (48 cm), ROMANTICA Catalano (51 cm), QT 70 Dolomite (52 cm) and AMICA Globo (49,5 cm). All toilet covers for the Italo toilet bowl, including the official Pozzi Ginori 70s colours: champagne, light blue, blue, grey, brown, pink and green, can be found in the store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
Series YOU&ME Hatria – the perfect (round) circle
Perhaps the round shape of sanitary ware was not first proposed by Hatria, but the contrast of square base and spherical top certainly was. You&Me perfectly represents the sanitary ware category that needs a round toilet seat. In the post: “Sanitary ware Round like a circle. Here you need customised toilet seats!” we have seen many other sanitary chairs with this shape and with various rim diameters: ARKE’ by Galassia (40 cm), EL1 by Galassia (39 cm), WIND by Vitruvit (36 cm), STARCK 1 Duravit (42 cm), FLOW TONDA Simas (40,5 cm), ZELIG Dolomite (35 cm) and BOWL 50 Ceramica Globo (38 cm). The two versions of toilet seat covers, the one in coated wood and the one in thermoset with slow motion hinges, can be found in the store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
Series ELLADE Hidra – the retro double curve
All ceramic companies have had a line of sanitary ware in the classic retro style. They have all interpreted this category in their own way, as we have seen in several posts: “Retro Classical English Style Sanitaryware and their covers (part 1)” where we saw ANTALIA by Dolomite, RETRO’ by Kerasan, ARCADE/OLD ENGLAND by Simas and MAGICA Faleri. “And then comes ‘Montebianco’ Classic/antique sanitary ware and their toilet seats (part 2)” where we saw MONTEBIANCO by Pozzi Ginori, ALBANO by Vitruvit, LUTEZIA Ceramiche Senesi, PALLADIO Sbordoni and LONDRA Simas. Hidra Ceramica with its superior shape characterised by a double curve set itself apart from all other companies, paving a way that would later be followed as a shape by the sanitary ware of other ceramic manufacturers, see: ROYAL Althea, WINDSOR Ceramica Cielo and BOHEME by Eos Ceramica. The Ellade toilet seat cover, in both white and black, can be found in the store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
Cesame and the colours of its sanitary ware: mink Cesame and deer
We have seen that every ceramic house has popularised colours. Pozzi launched the champagne colour, Ideal Standard popularised pastel colours: light blue, pink, green and whisper grey. Cesame created and launched two colours that have become iconic. Two very refined shades of brown: the colour DEER and the colour MINK CESAME (not to be confused with the mink produced by all other ceramic manufacturers which is a very similar shade to hazelnut). The Sicilian ceramic house offered these colours on all its successful series: SINTESI, ARETUSA, ERICE, SYMBOL. All toilet seats in the official Cesame colours can be found in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
Today we have looked at other ceramic series and their very important colours for the entire bathroom world. Perhaps you have recognised your toilet bowl and are able to purchase the right and precise toilet seat without making a mistake. However, if you are still in doubt about which toilet seat cover to look for for your toilet in the bathroom, we suggest you send us an e-mail to info@sintesibagno.it or a WhatsApp message to 3341288978 with two pictures of your sanitary fitting and a few measurements and we will be able to help you choose.
