This ceramic house today called HATRIA was originally called SPEA as we discovered in the post: “Ceramica SPEA, the origins of Hatria shapes. All toilet seats out of production“. There we started to see some of his successful ceramic series: the series SELECTA and its upper floor with step, the large size of GRAN SASSO, LARA with its rear elevation and large, rectangular shape of EDOS. All of the latest production is branded HATRIA, a company we talked about extensively in the post: ”HATRIA Ceramica. Creative genius. The ceramic series of a 2.0 company”, where we saw its state-of-the-art sanitary ware: SCULTURE, YOU&ME, DAYTIME and DOLCEVITA.
MARYLIN series Hatria
With this ceramic series, Hatria enters the sector of the large specifications of the 80s and 90s and is challenging thoroughbreds of the calibre of TESI by Ideal Standard, CLODIA by Dolomite, SINTESI by Cesame, LUCE by Catalano and YDRA by Pozzi Ginori, We talked about it in the post: “Replacing a 80s/90s toilet seat” A modern D-shape characterised this sanitary ware, which was presented in both floor-standing and wall-hung versions. The ceramics manufacturer’s craftsmanship proved to be really skilled at working this material and embellished the upper surface of the WC. In practice, they have created a unique lowering in the area of use that makes the Marylin WC truly unmistakable compared to its competitors. ERIKA series Hatria
A mass-market series in the middle price range called Erika. In contrast to the D-shape of Marylin, here a regular oval shape is proposed that is very common in the bathroom furnishing sector. Here, too, the expert hands of the company’s craftsmen play with the workmanship of the ceramic body and produce a special, unmistakable object: the L-shaped detail in the sanitary ware body is its trademark. You will find all the toilet seat variations, including the thermoset version with soft-close/relief hinges, at the Sintesibagno storeat the following link [ clik here ]
LISA series Hatria Spea
Spea’s trapezium-shaped sanitary ware was called Lisa. It was a typically 80s series and perhaps the company’s designers were inspired by the better-known Pozzi Ginori production that we described well in the post: “Sanitary ware Pozzi Ginori old square models. Square, Italica and Italo duo which toilet seat cover is correct?” where precisely we talked about SQUARE, the market’s queen series, which partly resembles it in form. Like its inspiring series, Lisa was also produced and distributed in the classic white colour as well as in the champagne colour. All toilet seat covers for this Spea sanitary ware are available in the Sintesibagno online store at the following link [ clik here ]
LOTUS series Hatria Spea
Spea also entrusted the design of some sanitary ware series to internationally renowned designers. The Lotus series was born from the magic pencil of Giorgina Castiglioni. This designer’s formal study had already resulted in the design for Dolomite ceramics of the RIO series (in the cover image we have put an image with the interview that appeared in the magazine Blu-rosso in 1986 where it talks about the RIO-LOTUS design twinning) and starting from this series it evolves and personalises it, the upper surface widens in the perimeter and lightens the figure, which is reminiscent of the previous one but at the same time stands out.
