Throughout the history of bathroom design, there have been several forms of sanitary ware that have been more or less successful depending on the period. We have seen in several previous posts some of these formal types. From sanitary ware and toilet seats with shapes ovals/ elongated, rectangular, hexagonals/octogonals, round and ovals and also several with odd shapes. Today we will discover more special forms of sanitary ware that need curved toilet seat covers.
ELLADE series Hidra

A ceramic series that has inspired many other ceramic manufacturers: Ellade by Hidra ceramica. This ceramic house has always been able to produce and then present to the market particular forms of sanitary ware, as we have seen in the post: “Hidra Ceramiche. The shapes of the sanitary ware of the new millennium and their WC covers” where we also discovered SMARTY, LOFT, DIAL and ANGELA. With Ellade, Hidra Ceramica enters the market for retro sanitary ware and its embroidered or shaped toilet seats. We consider it the most feminine shape in the bathroom furnishing world. Curves, curves and more soft, sinuous curves of class and beauty. In the glossy black version, this toilet seat is stunning. Other successful series inspired by Ellade with this shape are: two by Eos Ceramiche BOHEME and PANTHEON, and also a series by Althea called ROYAL. Ellade toilet seats can be found in the SintesiBagno store at the following link [ clik here ]
ANTALIA series Ceramica Dolomite

Ceramica Dolomite has been a ceramics manufacturer capable like few companies of intercepting the taste of the general public very well. Thanks also to the collaboration with the designer Antonio Bullo has been able to produce legendary ceramic series of the calibre of CLODIA, NOVELLA and SWEET LIFE. Other best-selling series preceding the collaboration with Bullo we discovered in the post: “The old Dolomite ceramic series and their toilet seats” and were RIO, FLEO, EBLA and PERLA. An 8-shaped sanitary ware and toilet seat cover is the feature of Antalia. It has fewer curves than Ellade, but the style is unique and the workmanship worthy of the best ceramists. It became a legend in the ’90s and went out of production a few years ago. A version of the monobloc WC with a ceramic cistern resting on it was available, as well as a version with a wall-mounted cistern. Its original toilet seat with the characteristic 8 shape is clearly available in the store at the following link [ clik here ]
ANTEA series Gsi Ceramica

Gsi Ceramica is a company of Civita Castellana distrct which has made some very special sanitary ware shapes. We talked about this ceramic house in the post: ”GSI Ceramica. From the special shapes of Facis to today’s design. All unobtainable toilet seats“ and discovered the collections: PANORAMA and TRACCIA. With Antea, the company presents itself as a viable alternative in the market for classic retro-style series. An 8-shape in the upper part of a body marked and embellished with very pronounced steps characterises it and makes it very recognisable compared to competing series, some of which have just been seen.
