In this post we will look at other sanitary ware and their toilet seat covers that have a teardrop shape: narrow at the back that widen towards the user. In the post: ”Toilet seat and Sanitary Ware with teardrop shape (and their sizes) – part 1” we have already seen: LIUTO by Ideal Standard which we consider to be the form from which all ceramic manufacturers have started to produce forms like this, ARETUSINA by Cesame and CLIO by Eos Ceramiche. Today we will look at other series considered to be older models now out of production and more modern series that have relaunched the teardrop shape.
TANGA series by Ceramica Scala
It belongs to the sanitary productions of the 70s and 80s. We have put as picture the technical sceda of the vase where you can see perfectly the drop shape we are talking about. Often mistaken for Liuto by Ideal Standard looking clearly from above, but the body of the sanitary ware is slightly different. We will soon dedicate a post to the company Scala (part of the Ideal Standard group for some time) and we will see series that have marked the history of popular bathroom furniture. You can find the covers for the Tanga sanitaryware in all the official colours and also a new thermosetting variant in the store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
GEMMA series by Ceramiche Scala
We still remain in the Scala ceramics catalogue. With this series the company tried and partly succeeded in replicating the sales success of Iril. Gemma was a mass market product, ideal for residential and social housing and also perfect for second bathrooms. A typical product for economic specifications and beyond. Its small size made it suitable for small bathrooms and public bathrooms. In this sanitary ware, too, the shape is typically teardrop-shaped. Two types of toilet seat cover are available for this toilet, the white coated wood version (more robust which enhances the toilet) and a thermoplastic variant (ideal in public places). You can find both at the following link [ clik HERE ]
AFFETTO series by Ceramica Globo
We have already seen several series of this Civita Castellana ceramic house in other posts, some recent ones like SPACE STONE (rectangular vase) and BOWL 50 (round vases), many other series now out of production because they are old models such as: AMICA (large vases), CLIO (Conca type vases/spacing 18), LEI, RONDA, PAESTUM, BONSAI e CANOVA (old discontinued Ceramica Globo sanitary ware models). The Affetto series is a series from the 2000s. It was presented in the floor-standing and wall-hung versions. The original thermosetting toilet seat is available in the store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
GRACE series by Ceramica Globo
Often mistaken for the Affetto sanitaryware, this is one of Globo’s latest successful series. Quality/price ratio difficult to achieve by competitors. It differs from Affetto because the rear part is slightly less narrow and the body of the sanitaryware is less tight in the central part. It is however rightly included in the sanitary ware with drop shape. The toilet seats for this sanitaryware are available in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
We have seen some with teardrop shapes and their toilet seats. It could be that you have not found your sanitary ware and therefore do not know which toilet seat to order. No problem, just send us an email to info@sintesibagno.it or a WhatsApp message to 3341288978 with two pictures of your toilet seat and a few measurements and we will be able to help you choose. Here is the video on how to proceed with your toilet seat search:
