It happens in some cases that the toilet seat cover proposed by ceramic manufacturers to match the toilet bowl and therefore ORIGINAL does not live up to customers’ expectations. We have encountered several reports of some models which, according to consumers, are not robust enough or do not reflect their aesthetic standards or are made of a material (coated wood or thermosetting plastic, HERE the LINK with the differences in toilet seat materials) and the customer does not want it and is looking for it in another material, but it is not available. We at the Sintesibagno team then decided to find an alternative to the original product and selected a DEDICATED version (for more on the type: DEDICATED toilet seat we recommend this LINK) which we have tested with many customers who rated it as very good and certainly better value than the one proposed in combination with the standard pot.
Today, among the many reports we have had over the many years that we have been selling toilet seats online, we see a toilet seat for a ceramic series by Dolomite, a historic company in the bathroom furnishing sector, the Gemma 2.
One of the last ceramic series offered by Dolomite at the turn of the century. Initially launched in the classic floor-standing version and later updated with the wall-hung version and the flush WC version (HERE an in-depth look at this type of sanitary ware). We can consider it a very modern D-shape and in the fairing version already a series of both aesthetic and qualitative advantages. The only drawback was the toilet seat cover which, based on the reports we received, always broke in the area near the steel L of the hinge.
As we said, it was initially proposed as a floor-standing model (see photo opposite) and for that model we had already had a dedicated toilet seat made of polyester-coated wood with very solid and sturdy steel hinges, which you can view in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik here ]. We have found a perfect product in thermoset for the new version of the WC (floor-standing flush and the wall-hung version). You can view the version with normal hinges at the following link [ clik here ] and the version with soft-close hinges at the following link [ clik here ]
If you are also looking for an excellent toilet seat cover for the Gemma 2 series you now know where to find it. If, on the other hand, you have a Dolomite sanitary ware in your bathroom but don’t know the brand, we suggest some previous posts: where we have already seen: CLODIA (“Sanitary ware from the 80s and 90s.
