Ceramica Olympia is also part of the companies that are part of the famous ceramic district of Civita Castellana, The municipality where it is based is also Corchiano (about 10 km north of Civita). From their website we discover that: ”Olympia was founded in 1979 and immediately proved to be a company well suited to the tastes and trends generated at the time. Great credit is due to the production process of complete bathroom furnishing series; unlike other Italian manufacturers, linked to the furniture sector and therefore more focused on washbasins, Olympia began producing sanitary ware right from the start, employing experience that has grown over the years and now guarantees a constant level of high quality. Always with a strong focus on sustainable development, Olympia promotes the Water is Life project, intelligent water saving, proving to be an ‘example’ company capable of satisfying everyone’s well-being in terms of the environment. The attention and dedication of Olympia’s workforce has led the company to a respectable position in the global marketplace: to date, around 75% of production is exported, and our made in Italy products are present in 40 different countries. Cutting-edge design, always attentive to current fashions, has ensured that this ‘boutique’ production always has a high and distinguished stylistic content.” More than forty years of success and experience with ceramic products make it a testimonial of the best Made in Italy in the bathroom furnishing sector.
FORMOSA series Olympia design ZILIANI
We start to discover this ceramic company with its most recent series and choose Formosa as the icon of its production. Few times has it happened that the name of an object represents its essence as in this case. Marcello Ziliani with this ceramic series he wants to make people think of the feminine side of the world and express all its sensuality and sinuosity. He therefore decided to call it: Formosa. Soft curves that narrow like hips characterise it and make it as unique as every woman. The distinctiveness can be seen either by looking at the vase from the side or by looking at it from above. On a sanitary ware of this type it is only possible to fit its original thermoset toilet seat, which you can find in the Sintesibagno store, both with normal and soft close hinges, at the following link [ clik here ]
CRYSTAL series Olympia Ceramica design LUCCHESE
Another top series in the current production is: Crystal. Here, too, the design is entrusted to one of the best Italian designers: Francesco Lucchese. We found out in the post dedicated to him: “Francesco Lucchese: a multidisciplinary designer who surprises the bathroom furnishing sector. The ceramic series for Olympia and Hatria. Where to find 🚽 toilet seat covers?” As written at the beginning of this post, the great ability to produce sanitary ware in the most unusual shapes has matured over more than 40 years of specific activity. It is this ability to work with ceramics that makes it possible to follow the lines indicated by the designer, who describes the series in this way on his institutional website: ”The ‘Crystal’ collection is inspired by the many facets of crystal and the preciousness of diamond. Inclined surfaces meet to create the volume of the products, which are ideally placed in an elegant and refined ambience.” One only has to look at the image of the sanitary ware to imagine the complexity of the company’s production and realise that the shape truly recalls the most precious crystal of all: the diamond. The designer and the ceramic company have created a new formal style never seen before in bathroom furniture. These sanitary wares must be fitted with the original Olympia toilet seat cover, which you can find in the Sintesibagno online store, both with slow and normal hinges, at the following link [ clik here ]
92 series Olympia Ceramica
Let’s take a step back, the 90s, and discover the 92 Series. We are in the golden age of the bathroom market. These were years of great numbers and new constructions. This period saw the establishment of sanitary ware series that are still found in many bathrooms today. These are staggering sales figures for the Italian market. Every ceramics company proposed a series that we can call from specifications. We call it this because the designers and architects of the great buildings of the period when they drew up the project included their names in the technical details. Here we find names that have become commonplace even to the uninitiated: Tesi series by Ideal Standard, Sintesi series by Cesame, Clodia series by Dolomite, Luce series by Catalano, Fantasia series by Pozzi Ginori. Olympia proposed precisely this ceramic series with a fairly traditional shape for the period. A D-shape among the first proposals on the market and a fairly large shape. You can find toilet seats for this sanitary ware in the Sintesibagno online store at the following link [ clik here ]
