Today we continue our discovery of the best-selling ceramic series in the bathroom market by various companies. In the post: ”The bestselling sanitary ware from every ceramic house. Use the Sintesibagno catalogue to find the toilet seat for these models (part 1)” we started to see: Ideal Standard CONCA series, Ceramica Flaminia LINK series, Pozzi Ginori EASY series, Hatria Ceramiche YOU&ME series and Ceramica Globo OPEN SPACE system.
Ceramica Simas LFT Spazio series
We are in the early 2000s. Ceramica SIMASTerri Pecora design gives life to a ceramic series with the DNA of success. It is the golden age of Made in Italy design in bathroom furniture. The companies in the district of Civita Castellana conquering the market: Flaminia, Catalano, Globo, Gsi they launch projects, systems, ceramic series that can still be purchased in manufacturers’ catalogues and launched in sales! LFT Spazio is an example of this. Still in the company’s catalogue, now as then, one of the reasons for its success is undoubtedly its quality/price ratio, which for the market segment in which it is placed, is unapproachable for its competitors. Terri Pecora‘s artistic hand is tangible: LFT Spazio falls into the category indicated by the company’s name Acqua Space. Let us take the company’s official website as a source for describing this series (SIMAS): “The pleasure of a friendly design. An essential collection in clean form, in the name of a new concept of geometry that goes super-oval. Adaptable to modern, architectural spaces and the most intimate, everyday bathroom. It lightly wears the simplicity of the lines, in a young and versatile answer, accessible to all.”. That’s right: it’s a super-oval that, when viewed from above, tends towards the triangle, an unmistakable shape. All toilet seats, even the old and first version in white polyester-coated wood, are available in the store at the following link [ Clik HERE ]
Cesame Ceramica SINTESI series
Sintesi is the CESAME series which is not only the best seller of the company but of the whole glorious period of the ’80s as we have seen in the post: ”Sanitaryware from the 80s and 90s. Finding the toilet seat cover” golden age of the property market, made up of specifications in impressive numbers. Together with some sanitary ware from competing ceramic companies of the Sicilian company, including CLODIA which we will see later, and TESI by Ideal Standard, have deservedly gained a prominent place in the bathrooms of Italians and beyond. Its upper inclined plane is very recognisable and led us to write about it in a post: “Toilets with inclined tops and their toilet covers with shaped bumpers”, we have seen that there is always a beginning to the particularities of things. Sintesi can be defined as the first product made with this characteristic or the first to be so successful that it was identified as an example of its category. With this sanitary ware, the Sicilian company achieved market shares worthy of the great producers of the time: Ideal Standard and Dolomite. This series of sanitary ware was produced not only in white but also in different colours, the main ones being certainly: amber/champagne, mink/bahama and the legendary buckskin (for an in-depth look at Cesame colours, we recommend this article [ Clik HERE ]). All original toilet seats and dedicated versions can be found in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ Clik HERE ]
Ceramica Dolomite CLODIA series
Another thoroughbred! Made to run and conquer the market: Clodia. The ceramic manufacturer in the ’80s decided to rely on the expert pencil of a designer who was churning out incredible designs at the time: Antonio Bullo. And he was right, the designer created a D-shape (one of the first in the industry) that was an incredible success. Thanks to this ceramic series, the Dolomite company became one of the largest ceramic manufacturers of the period. The peculiarity of Clodia is the upper shelf with the step, we talked about this in a post where we explain the importance of a stepped/shaped toilet seat cover [ Clik HERE ]. The original seat can be found in the store at the following link [ Clik HERE ]
Azzurra Ceramiche DIANA series
We are still in the 80s and 90s. Azzurra Ceramica somewhat following the stylistic trend of the moment. decides to propose a D shape. It also follows the trend of the inclined plane, but with Diana, the ceramic house of Civita Castellana, realises a peculiarity: instead of delimiting the entire circumference of the inner part of the vase, it makes a slight lowering at the back that becomes a distinctive stylistic element. Unlike its ‘cousins’, it could be considered a large toilet bowl. Its toilet seat cover in all variations is available in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ Clik HERE ]
