In recent posts we have been focusing on the production of Flaminian ceramics since the beginning of this century. In previous posts we started to discover the starting point: “All Ceramica Flaminia sanitary wares in the new millennium and their toilet seats (part 1)” the first three winning projects were: LINK, SPIN and TERRA.. Then the post: “The Flaminia ceramic series after the WORK IN PROGRESS revolution (Link, Spin and Terra) and their WC covers (part 2)” the ceramic series: NILE, MONO’ and VOID. Then the post: “Flaminia’s ceramic series that are design icons. What are the most creative shapes in the latest catalogue? (part 3)” the ceramic series: UNA, IO and MADRE.
Today we will look at other sanitary ware series, including the Como series, which despite being a highly design-oriented series, the company has decided to take it out of the catalogue.
COMO series Ceramica Flaminia

The Como series is the brainchild of designer Rodolfo Dondoni.
It was described as follows in their 2014 catalogue: “Geometry in every detail, clean forms and compactness, all for an essential and refined effect. In this creation, the water containment part is reminiscent of a lake and the table top of a shoreline (hence, we believe, the name of the series in honour of the famous Lake). The two elements are therefore perfectly continuous and integrated here, as well as extremely functional. In fact, lowered surfaces have been carved out of the ceramics themselves on which detergents or objects (here referring to washbasins and bidets) can be placed to accompany daily hygiene gestures, thus avoiding annoying drips on the edge”.
In the toilet, although not used to support anything, the lowering is used to fix the toilet seat. The shape of the sanitary ware definitely falls into the rectangular category. With a style all its own made particular by the difference in width between the back and the front.
You will find the original soft-close toilet seat in the Sintesibagno store at the following LINK (clik here)
Sprint series Ceramica Flaminia

For the Flaminia company this mass market ceramic series. It was called Sprint.
Discontinued a few years ago. It was produced in a suspended version and also in a floor-standing version. As you can clearly see from the picture opposite, the main body of the sanitary ware is shifted forward in relation to the rear wall, among other things giving a remarkable feeling of good usability, with a very interesting and innovative formal effect compared to the more extreme, typically rectangular sanitary ware.
In order to maintain the aesthetic beauty of this shape, it is necessary to have a very precise toilet seat cover that respects its uniqueness. You will find it in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik here ]
QUICK series Ceramica Flaminia

The Quick series is another line from this ceramic manufacturer in the mass-market segment. A very attractive price-performance ratio.
If with Sprint we moved into rectangular shapes, here Flaminia’s creative team takes us into more rounded, soft shapes.
The idea of the project was to lighten the body of the sanitary ware, working on the rear part of the sanitary ware, it was formally emptied. The upper view maintains the classic D-shape of the most modern sanitary ware.
As a toilet cover in the Sintesibagno store we run the latest SLIM version and you can find it in the store at the following LINK (clik here)
