We started talking about this designer and the sanitary ware and toilet seats designed for Ceramica Dolomite in the post: ”Antonio Bullo, the style of the bathroom designer who revolutionised ceramic series. The 🚽 Clodia, Sweet life, Daytime, Dolcevita and Nexo….(part 1) toilet seats” where we discovered the ceramic series: Clodia, Zelig, Novella and Sweet Life. All best sellers in the sanitary ware sector. Today we will see that in its more than ten-year history Antonio Bullo has also collaborated with other ceramic companies.
DOLCEVITA series Hatria Sanitary Ware
Year 1997: Dolcevita Series. Already twenty years old, this classically styled ceramic series that the designer had created for Hatria. With this series of sanitary ware the Teramo-based company (see HERE) enters the market range that goes back to the classic/retro style. An in-depth look at this type of sanitary ware can be found in the link: “Modern sanitary ware, but with classic/antique shapes. How possible? Where can I find their toilet covers?” from which we take a paragraph: “We are used to thinking that antique-style sanitary wares have machined shapes in the upper part of the bowl, as we have seen very well in the post: ”Spare parts and replacement of CLASSIC/RETRO’ style toilet seats”. Here we have seen the 8-shaped toilet seats from ANTALIA Dolomite, the shape of the violin toilet seats of RETRO’ Kerasan, the toilet seats with the double curve of ELLADE Hidra. Or a rounded shape like the Pozzi Ginori series MONTEBIANCO: ”And then comes ‘Montebianco’ Classic/antique sanitary ware and their toilet seats (part 2)” and the series inspired by it: ALBANO Vitruvit, LUTEZIA Senesi, PALLADIO Sbordoni and LONDRA Simas. With the success that flush-to-wall sanitary ware has enjoyed in recent times (HERE the link to the post where we explain this type of WC and bidet) the shape of the toilet seat, known as the D shape, has become established. How did the ceramic companies manage to render the idea of the classic retro starting from a shape in the upper part of the WC that is modern? They have worked, we can also say very well, on the body of the sanitary ware, creating unevenness, steps and curves that testify to the creativity of Made in Italy design. Some of these ceramic series and their WC covers are: CALLA, CANOVA Royal, BELLA EPOQUE and FIDIA. And above all, this series from Hatria is part of this ‘classic modernity’: oval at the top and oval in the foot, embellished by the fascia at the bottom of the sanitary ware and the steps at the top. Another centrepiece from the designer Bullo! You can find the Dolcevita toilet seat cover in the store at the following link [ clik here ]
DAYTIME series Hatria Sanitary Ware
Year 1999: Daytime series. Only two years passed and Bullo churned out another masterpiece, again for the Teramo company. Still topical today from a formal point of view (and over twenty years have already passed), revolutionary at the time. The starting shape is the D of the upper floor, but the completion of the body downwards is made by changes of depth outlined by soft curves. We can describe it like this: purity of form, simple is beautiful. A light, minimalist shape in both the suspended and floor-standing versions: Day Time immediately won the taste of the millennials market. All toilet seat versions are available, including the new Slim version with slow-action hinges at the following link [ clik here ]
NEXO series Roca Sanitary Ware
Year 2008: Nexo series. We discovered Roca, a leading international Spanish company, in the post: “The Spanish ceramic company that has conquered the world: ROCA CERAMICA. Strange and unusual series and their 🚽copriwater” where we discovered his strange and peculiar ceramic shapes. About ten years ago, in his quest for formal renewal, he decided to ask Bullo for a futuristic design. The designer once again makes no mistake and surprises! The sanitary wares are presented in both floor-standing and wall-hung versions, and it is here that their uniqueness is characterised. The lower part of the sanitary ware is marked by a line that is not parallel but with a very unusual change in depth. The thermoset WC covers with wraparound cover for this Roca series can be found in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik here ]
