We started discovering sanitary ware colours by looking at the large series in the post: ‘Colourful large sanitary ware. Finding a large toilet seat cover is complicated, if even coloured it seems impossible! Have you asked the Sintesibagno team?’ where we like the series ITALICA by Pozzi Ginori introduced the colour CHAMPAGNE to the general public, such as the series LAGO by ceramica Dolomite launched the colour FERN GREEN and how GRAN SASSO by Hatria Spea popularised the colour MINK. Also in the same post we referred to an earlier post “COLOURED toilet seats – How NOT to make the wrong choice!” where the Sintesibagno team with a comparative image tried to highlight the colour differences between champagne, mink and kashmir. Today we will look at other colours popularised by historical series in the bathroom world.
The deer colour toilet seat cover and Sintesi Cesame
Cesame was a company based in Sicily that at the turn of the 70s and 80s rocked the ceramic giants of the sector such as Ideal Standard, Dolomite, Pozzi Ginori and many companies in the ceramic district of Civita Castellana. He designed and produced an infinite number of successful ceramic series, capable of styles and shapes that conquered the taste of many consumers. For a more in-depth look we suggest the posts: “Ceramica Cesame and the challenge to the bigs of the market. Are the original toilet seats still available?” and “Ceramica Cesame and the challenge to the bigs of the market. The special series (part 2)” where you can see all the company’s most important ceramic series: ARETUSA, BELLA EPOQUE, ERICE, SYMBOL, KOR, MID.
The best known series, however, was Sintesi. With this series the company entered the large building specifications of the golden age of the Italian real estate market. It was produced not only in white but also in other colours, including, exclusive to the company, DEER.
In the image opposite, we have put the three main colours of Cesame: CHAMPAGNE, MINK (called Bahama Beige by Cesame) and precisely their exclusive DEER colour. This is a colour that really exists in nature and is the colour of the coat of the beautiful animals that give life to the name itself. A colour as warm and enveloping as they are. Before showing you the link to the videos of the coloured Cesame Sintesi series WC covers, I would just like to remind you that these colours have been produced on all the series of the Sicilian ceramic manufacturer Cesame: Arethusa, Erice, Bella Epoque… You can find the link to the videos here: https://vimeo.com/search?q=copriwater+sintesi All coloured toilet seat covers for the Cesame Sintesi toilet bowl series in various colours can be found in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik here ]
The Pozzi Ginori brown and Square toilet seat
One of the rectangular series that have written the history of formal style in the world of bathroom furniture is certainly: Square. In the post: “Sanitary ware Pozzi Ginori old square models. Square, Italica and Italo duo which toilet seat cover is correct?” we saw how together with ITALICA and ITALO DUO made up the trio of wonders of the Pozzi Ginori company in the 70s and 80s, and also how often the three of them were mistaken for each other when looking for a toilet seat, often leading customers to make the wrong model to buy. SQUARE, like its ‘cousins’ in those years, was produced and presented to the market in many colours: in addition to the clear white, champagne, whisper blue, maldives blue, heraldic blue, navy blue, whisper grey, mondrian grey, black, whisper pink, oriental pink, pomegranate and finally in the best seller colour shown here in the photo: BROWN. All coloured toilet seat covers for Square WCs are available in the Sintesibagno online store at the following link [ clik here ]
The light blue, deep blue and blueberry toilet seat cover in Ideal Standard sanitary ware
The blue (in the background and blueberry variant) and light blue (called whispering) was brought to success by the ceramic manufacturer Ideal Standard. This company has been the market leader for years and we have discovered it by talking about many of its famous series in the posts: “The history of the CONCA line“, “Ideal Standard toilet seat covers Old Models” where we saw TESI, DIAGONAL, LIUTO, LINDA and ELLISSE.
Whisper blue, Deep blue and Blueberry, the three colours placed side by side in the pictures here can help you see the difference, they go from the classic blue, called sky blue, to the bright blue to the dark blue typical of the famous fruit. Almost all the series produced by Ideal Standard until the late ’90s could be ordered in those colours. In the Sintesibagno toilet seat covers catalogue you will find for each series a subsection called coloured toilet seat covers where you can view them all at the following link [ clik here ]
