Today we continue to talk about GSI and FACIS’ glorious past made up of special ceramic series, many with strange shapes, all out of production, and their unobtainable toilet covers (not on Sintesibagno.shop). We have seen in previous posts who GSI Ceramics is today and many series of these companies. In the post: ”GSI ceramics. From Facis’ distinctive shapes to today’s design. All the unobtainable toilet seats. (part 1)” we have seen: PANORAMA, TRACCIA and ANTEA. we have seen PALACE and GINEVRA in the post: ”Odd and unusual shapes and their toilet covers (part 2)”, we have seen ADDA in the post: ”The CONCA WC and toilet seat and its ‘brothers’” and in the post: ”Older, discontinued models with rectangular toilet seats. (part 2)”,we have seen OMEGA in the post: ”BIG sanitaryware, large WCs and bidets modern lines and their covers (part 2)”.
CADORE series by Facis
We have chosen a photograph from above of this sanitary ware vessel and especially of its toilet cover because here we are in the presence of the company’s unique shape (of the unique shapes of sanitary ware and what they are we have talked about it HERE). Cadore is an unbelievable sanitary fixture, in the upper rear part of the toilet towards the front there is a special elevation that causes the toilet seat to be carved so precisely that it looks like it was made by a master carpenter to measure. It was made in white, champagne and grey. It is clear that only a toilet seat cover like the original can be mounted on such a toilet and you can find it in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
AVANT series by Gsi/Facis
With this series the company tried to enter the market of the legends of the period that we saw in the post: “Sanitaryware from the 80s and 90s. Finding the toilet seat cover.” read HERE, where we saw the sanitary series of the golden age of real estate in Italy. Hundreds or perhaps thousands of series that filled the countless buildings of the period and their specifications: TESI by Ideal Standard, SINTESI by Cesame, CLODIA Dolomite and FANTASIA by Pozzi Ginori. It was a very unusual shape, the double curve on the body of the sanitary ware was a novelty. In our opinion, of all the ceramic series offered by the company, it is the least in tune with the company’s industrial design, although still very beautiful. All WC covers for this WC, both the white and champagne coated wood versions and the thermosetting versions, can be found in the store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
LOSANGA series by Gsi Ceramica
Given the shape of this sanitary ware, never has the name been so apt. Losanga is one of the recent series from the ceramic manufacturer GSI. A very modern shape, it was offered in a floor-standing and wall-hung version. Special workmanship in the ceramic body, very large dimensions (it requires a 38 cm wide toilet seat) and its shape make it very recognisable throughout the company’s catalogue. In the store we have selected a very precise toilet seat cover for this WC, you will find it in the storeat the following link [ clik HERE ]
CLIZIA series by Facis GSI
This could be the form from which the company’s ceramic masters developed the most recent Losanga series we have just seen. It was called Clizia, a series that is now out of production, but whose shape is still current. The toilet seat cover for the new and old versions of this sanitary ware can be found in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
