It is one of the latest arrivals in the Civita Castellana district (founded in 1989), but it has come a long way and fast, distributing its products in 60 countries in addition to Italy. We have already found some of its sanitary ware and toilet seats in previous posts: ELLADE in the post: “Classic Retro English-Style sanitaryware and their toilet seats (part 1)”. We have also seen MEMORY in the post: “The unique (special) shapes of sanitary ware and their toilet seats: Muse, Fiorile, Memory”. We saw ONDA in the post: “BIG sanitaryware, WCs and bidets in large sizes, modern lines e i loro copriwater (part 2)”. We saw HYDRA in the post: “Older, discontinued models with rectangular toilet seats. (part 2)”. Today we will look at the latest Hidra sanitaryware series and their toilet seats: SMARTY, DIAL, MY, LOFT and ANGELA.
SMARTY series by Hidra Ceramica
It is the vase with which Hidra launched the challenge to the best sellers in the market of small and contained sanitaryware. We saw them in the post: ”Which small toilet seat has sold the most?” and are: 500 by Pozzi Ginori, YOU&ME by Hatria and ZEROLIGHT by Catalano. A really small toilet bowl and toilet seat. The Smarty toilet seat measures less than 40 cm (the hinges cover a size range from 36 to 39), and is available in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
LOFT series by Hidra Ceramica
The ceramic company presented this ceramic series in both the wall-hung and floor-standing versions, and both are very pleasing from a formal point of view. A unique feature of these sanitary wares is found in the back of the hole, the cut is in the form of an upside-down crescent. It almost seems as if the curve of the front of the toilet bowl wants to escape from the back. In order to maintain this stylistic effect, the Loft toilet bowl absolutely needs its original thermosetting toilet seat with top fixing (expansion), which you can find in the store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
DIAL series by Hidra Ceramica
Only master ceramists could manage to start with a rounded body and end up with a rectangular shape on the upper level. Dial is a small revolutionary and innovative masterpiece from a formal point of view. The ability to create a sanitary ware with a rectangular top without any corners immediately won over the market and the taste of modern bathroom customers. This led the company to also offer a slightly smaller version which it clearly called Mini Dial. Be careful when buying a toilet seat because the two models, similar in shape, are different in size and measurements. Both original toilet seats for these Hidra series can be found in the store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
ANGELA series by Hidra Ceramiche
The typical sanitary ware series from Hidra is definitely this one. Angela is dimensionally perfect. It’s hard to say whether her measurements are small or standard. It is certainly perfect from a formal point of view. By slightly lengthening the oval at the sides, a pleasant and “comfortable” shape has been created. It can be placed both in small bathrooms and in larger bathrooms. An important detail is that its upper surface is marked by a step (we have seen this peculiarity in the post: ”Sanitaryware with a sloping surface and their toilet seats with shaped bumpers (part 1)”) and therefore your ‘Like the Original’ toilet seat needs shaped bumpers that fit into that step and keep it stable and firm. The toilet seat with these features can be found in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
